ShSh House

Location: Prizren, Kosovo
Project Type: Residential
Program: Single-Family House
Status: In Progress
Area: approx. 220 m²
Client: Sh. Sh
Year: 2026

Set within a compact 10×10 footprint, ShSh House explores how simplicity can shape a clear and efficient living environment for a growing family. Designed for a household of five, the project prioritizes clarity of layout, spatial comfort, and everyday functionality, avoiding unnecessary complexity.

The house is organized through a straightforward and rational plan, where each space serves a precise purpose. The ground floor accommodates the shared living areas along with a guest room, offering flexibility for visitors or extended family use. The upper floor is dedicated to the private zone, providing individual rooms for each of the three children, ensuring both independence and comfort.

A key feature of the project is the generous balcony, extending the living space outward and creating a continuous relationship between interior and exterior. This element enhances natural light, ventilation, and everyday use, becoming an essential part of the house’s spatial experience.

Rather than relying on formal gestures, the project focuses on proportion, usability, and clarity, demonstrating how a restrained approach can result in a highly functional and comfortable home.

Through its simplicity, ShSh House reflects a design attitude that values efficiency, adaptability, and the real needs of contemporary family life.
