Project Type: Residential Architecture
Building Footprint: 10 × 10 m
Program: Single-family house
Levels: Ground floor + first floor

ShSh House is a contemporary family residence designed around clarity, functionality, and spatial simplicity. The project responds directly to the client’s request for a compact and efficient home with a clear geometry of 10 × 10 meters, avoiding unnecessary complexity while ensuring comfortable living spaces for a growing family.

Located within a natural residential setting, the house is conceived as a balanced two-storey volume that prioritizes natural light, spatial openness, and strong connections between interior and exterior spaces. The architectural language remains restrained and rational, emphasizing proportion, clean lines, and a calm residential character.

The family consists of two parents and three children, which shaped the internal organization of the house. The upper floor accommodates three separate bedrooms for the children, ensuring privacy and independence for each family member. On the ground floor, the program includes a dedicated guest room, allowing the house to adapt easily to extended family visits and social gatherings.

A key request from the client was the inclusion of a large balcony, designed as an extension of the living spaces and as an outdoor area for relaxation and family activities. The balcony reinforces the relationship between the house and its surrounding landscape while providing additional spatial generosity to the compact footprint.

The architecture follows a straightforward and rational approach: a compact square volume, large openings that allow generous daylight, and carefully proportioned outdoor spaces. The result is a calm and functional family house that balances simplicity, comfort, and everyday practicality.
