Meloditë e Rezistencës Exhibition
Where Research Becomes Experience
Located within the Archaeological Museum of Prizren, the exhibition Meloditë e Rezistencës transforms a research-based publication by Gynesh Veshall into an immersive spatial experience. Through the use of digital media, sound, and curated movement, the project translates interviews and biographical narratives of Roma women into a multi-layered environment that engages both space and perception.
Location: Archaeological Museum of Prizren, Kosovo
Project Type: Exhibition Design, Curation & Voice Narration
Program: Immersive Digital Exhibition
Client: Gynesh Veshall
Status: Completed
Support: Ministry of Justice
Year: 2024

The project originates from a publication based on interviews and field research, documenting the lives and experiences of Roma women. Rather than presenting the material in a traditional format, the exhibition reinterprets this content through a curatorial approach that prioritizes atmosphere, sequencing, and emotional engagement. The research and content are developed by Gynesh Veshall, whose work forms the foundation of the exhibition.
The exhibition is structured as a sequence of interconnected spaces, guiding visitors through a controlled narrative path. Each room is designed to create a specific emotional condition, using light, darkness, and sound as primary tools. The use of red lighting establishes a strong visual identity while reinforcing themes of resistance, presence, and memory.
The project operates as a fully digital exhibition, where video installations and voice narration replace traditional display methods. The narratives are presented through moving image and sound, transforming written research into an intimate and accessible storytelling experience. Voice becomes a central medium, bridging the gap between documentation and perception.
By merging curation, spatial design, and digital media, the exhibition positions itself as a contemporary model for translating research into space. It demonstrates how storytelling can move beyond text, becoming an immersive experience that amplifies underrepresented voices.
The project was supported and publicly acknowledged by the Ministry of Justice of Kosovo within the framework of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence. View on Instagram
